Event Description​

When the Raven Speaks is an intimate, informal showcase of my newest body of work — a mysterious gathering of black birds. Although the theme centres around the Raven, you’ll find a whole flock of black birds — Ravens, Crows, and their kin from the Corvidae family — emerging through paint, texture, and symbolism.

Johann van Heerden's is a contemporary art gallery featuring multiple new exhibitions every single month throughout the year.

There are up to 6 exhibition openings on the 1st Sunday of the month at 11 am. These events are a popular spot for local and regional art enthusiasts. There have been several prominent South African artists showcased here. The gallery also works hard to foster an inclusive environment for new upcoming artists.
